Assistant Teaching Professor of Italian, Notre Dame (USA)

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures is seeking to appoint an Assistant Teaching Professor in Italian language and culture to begin in August 2026. It is a non-tenure track, renewable, full-time, and benefits-eligible position. The appointment is for a 3/3 teaching load with the expectation of service.

Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Italian and English is essential, as is extensive experience teaching Italian courses at the university level. PhD in Italian or a related field is required.
