Teaching Assistant Professor, Washington (USA)

The Department of Romance, German, and Slavic Studies at The George Washington University invites applications for one full-time renewable, non-tenure accruing appointment at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor of Italian language to begin as early as fall 2026 with an initial three-year appointment.

Qualifications
- Applicants must have a Ph.D. or E.D., or equivalent degree in Italian language pedagogy
- Second language acquisition
-  At least three years’ experience teaching Italian language courses at the college or university level
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Italian and English
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching in Italian language at multiple levels, as evidenced by evaluations, teaching assessments, letters of recommendation, etc.

Review of applications will begin on March 6, 2026 and continue until the position is filled.
