Objectives of the course

The degree course aims to train professionals with:

  • a solid basic training in methodology, history and criticism with regard to Italian studies in educational linguistics, philology, literature and art history in an international dimension;
  • the capacity to connect issues related to Italian literature, music, theatre, cinema and arts critically;
  • basic competences in information technology techniques and tools related to the field of liberal arts, with particular reference to e-resources aimed at the promotion of the Italian language, literature, art in Italy and abroad;
  • good knowledge of French, English or Spanish.

Career opportunities

Those holding this type of degree will be promoters of the Italian language, conceived as a cultural product. Possible types of related jobs could involve language training in Italian as a SL or organising art and show-business events – either on-site or online – to promote the Italian language and culture in Italy and abroad.  Also, they could be public relators for Italian or foreign institutions or companies located in Italy or abroad. They will be able to design contents related to cultural heritage, music, performative arts, museum and exhibition spaces, as well as to manage Italian culture and arts courses, both on-site and online.

Attendance

The course lasts three years. Students will attend through the Unistrasi e-learning platform and will also be able to take exams online.
